Phil Hunter is the founder and driving force behind Social Dance Academy Belfast, a thriving dance academy he launched in July 2021. With a deep-rooted passion for movement and a strategic business mindset, Phil has built the academy from the ground up, attracting a growing client base through dedicated networking and targeted social media marketing. Social Dance Academy Belfast has since established itself as a popular destination for dance enthusiasts, offering high-quality classes in salsa, bachata, and kizomba, along with dance socials and workshops hosted by professional guest instructors.

Phil’s journey began as a student captivated by salsa, which quickly grew into an obsession with mastering various dance styles, including bachata, kizomba, and zouk. His enthusiasm for refining his craft and technical precision became the foundation of his teaching style. Students were drawn to Phil’s expertise and infectious passion, often asking him to teach, which led him to formally begin instructing others. Known for his keen ability to inspire, Phil is as committed to his students’ growth as he is to his own. His classes are a reflection of his love for dance, blending technical skill with a warm, engaging teaching approach that resonates deeply with those he teaches.
