XING: the Business Development Game

This is an in person session, as part of the University's celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week. 

The session is open to UG and PG students and counts towards the Exeter Award. 

XING is team-based activity designed to develop your commercial awareness, product development, project planning and enterprise skills. By playing the game you will see how to develop an idea into a specific goal and will map out your plan considering six areas; finance, people, strategy, actions, marketing and risk.

In this session, you will:

• Develop a start up idea.
• Practice business planning.
• Look at your ideas holistically, and identify potential opportunities and challenges as you develop your idea.

At the end of the session, each team will pitch their business idea to the rest of the group, and a staff panel.

Have fun and learn more about business planning strategy as part of a team. Please note that you are able to attend this session as a group or individually and you will be able to join a group on the day.
