Mikel Ibarra

my name is mikel ibarra. i am currently a student of engineering at the tecnológico de monterrey, where i am training and developing professionally to solve real problems and provide new tools and technologies to the world. i also serve as the president of the student innovation and entrepreneurship group at tecnológico de monterrey. i have been an entrepreneur in the brewery business since i was 17, and i have a deep passion for aviation. i am an international counselor for the "rotary exchange student" program, and i am proud to hold the position of cto at steso, a solar thermoelectric system that provides energy, hot water, and methane gas in a single system.

since i was a child, my interest in entrepreneurship and technology has driven me to take on new challenges in my life, developing skills and attitudes that support my goal of leaving a mark on humanity. from selling ice cream outside my school to developing one of the largest technological projects in energy innovation and sustainability in my country, i consider myself a dedicated leader committed to my environment, society, and nature. therefore, every effort i make has a positive impact on these three fundamental pillars in my life vision.

despite being a student with limitations, i do not accept "no" for an answer. i acknowledge that some situations have been unfavorable, but for me, there are no problems; there are only opportunities to improve and develop new action strategies. i am nothing more than a young student with a genuine willingness to make this world a better place.
