mr. abdul hamid bhat founder of rahim group basically with agricultural family background and with meager educational qualification (10th) started the race of business with rs. 25000 in the year 1995 and presently holds turnover in crores with different tie-up companies like mahindra, maruti, etc.
today rahim group is one of the fastest-growing automobile organizations and holds a leading position in jammu and kashmir state. and today there are 250 employees involved with this organization.
while achieving success in business mr. hamid never found himself at peace and always desired to do something for the betterment of society. this desire was the foundation of rahim greens. to protect the future generation mr. hamid started its first plantation drive in the year 2009 with 6000 pine saplings and the same was done under the banner of rahim greens. this process got further successful and till march 2018 he has planted 145000 saplings in different colleges schools and deforested areas across kashmir valley and our target is to plant 10,00,000 saplings.
this is only one part of rahim greens. in this process mr. hamid was called by grift university, australia in the year 2010, in 2011 mr. hamid was again called to international volunteer efforts (iave) singapore and now he has become a member (corporate volunteer) of the same organization. every year mr. hamid is attending different conferences in different countries of the world which are related to the environment. he is doing all those things under corporate social responsibility (csr). as mr. hamid wants to change corporate social responsibility into common man's social responsibility.
mr. hamid has made a documentary on the earlier and current environmental condition of the kashmir valley, in this documentary, he is trying to show how we are destroying our environment day by day, and what steps we have to take to save our environment. this documentary had shown at the 13th iave asia pacific regional volunteer conference in korea. this documentary is also available on our website www.rahimgreens.com
