Crystal Myrick

Crystal Myrick resides in the vanguard of innovators utilizing digital formatting for community expressions. With over 15 years of experience in communications and media industries, Myrick’s expertise includes hyper-local marketing, media relations, social media management, event planning, and community engagement. Her writing, editing, research, photography, and videography skills combined present powerful and compelling community programs. She is also proficient in a range of website and digital management.

Ms. Myrick launched “The Warrenist,” a regional digital news platform in 2017. The engaging multimedia platform and community resource for local, regional, and national audiences, highlighting the art, culture, and lifestyle of Warren County, North Carolina, also features the only community events calendar in the area. An outgrowth of Ms. Myrick’s innovative work cultivated partnerships and relationships with state, county, and municipal government officials, entrepreneurs, and community thought leaders. She produces and hosts a live streaming show on Facebook and YouTube, Warrenist LIVE, garnering over 40k views since inception, an organized and promoted in-person, virtual, and hybrid sold out events.

Today she plans and implements media events such as “Taste of Warren,” the only restaurant week in the area, hosted food and wine experiences, and partnered with WUNC Radio. Crystal conceived, developed, and planned a local program, “The Women of Soul City,” a documentary showing followed by a panel of influential women in creating and building Soul City.

Crystal’s innovation and persistence garnered recognition and several awards: Recipient of the first Warren Artist Market Award (2019); Named “Media Project to Watch” by International Center for Journalists (2022); Trailblazer Award- Warren County Brotherhood (2023).
