Michael Oluwafemi Adeniji

Adeniji Michael Oluwafemi is an accomplished energy professional, climate advocate, and community development leader with a deep commitment to advancing sustainable energy systems in Africa. He serves as the Senior Technical Officer at the National Centre for Energy Efficiency and Conservation (NCEEC), one of the six research centres under the Energy Commission of Nigeria, and is the Co-Founder of NYSERA Energy Limited, a clean energy enterprise focused on innovative and impactful renewable energy solutions.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Energy Management and Entrepreneurship at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO). His academic journey includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Université Protestante de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (UPAO), a Higher National Diploma from Osun State College of Technology, and a National Diploma from The Polytechnic Ibadan.

Prince Michael has led and contributed to major national energy projects, including energy audits and efficiency initiatives for institutions like the University of Lagos, University College Hospital Ibadan, and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture. He is a National Climate Fellow with Change the Chamber (CTC) in the United States and holds numerous international certifications in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable energy systems from the International Energy Agency (IEA), UNIDO, and others.

He plays a strategic role in shaping Nigeria’s energy standards as the National Vice Chairman of the Nigerian National Technical Committee on Electrical Installation, Accessories, and Safety Regulation, and as a Technical Expert and Member of the National Technical Committees on Solar Photovoltaic Systems, Lightning and Electromagnetic Compatibility, and the IEC National Mirror Committees.

A native of Esa-Oke in Osun State, Prince Michael champions grassroots access to clean water, electricity, and quality education. He is a regular speaker at international energy platforms, including the Africa Sustainable Energy Conference and the EU-TECH Energy Alliance, where he shares insights on renewable energy, entrepreneurship, and community resilience.
