Dennis Aguma
Bio
Dennis is a passionate Entrepreneurship Facilitator and Business Incubation Manager with hands-on experience of setting up business incubation centres and offering structural support for startups, SMEs and enterprise programmes at Universities in the UK and Africa.
With a BSc. Hons. Business Management (1st Class) from Kingston University, London and an MBA (Distinction) from University of Surrey (UK), Dennis is currently doing a PhD at Birmingham City University exploring the impact of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial effectiveness.
He has worked in various capacities with a number of UK universities including Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge – where he was the Partnerships and Enterprise Development Officer & at Kingston University, London – where he was the Business Incubation Manager of ‘Kingston Nest’, the Enterprise Hub of Kingston University, London, before assuming a role there as a Part-time Lecturer.
Prior to joining academia, Dennis worked briefly with the Auditor General’s Office in Uganda before moving to London where he accumulated over 9 years’ extensive experience in the Administration and Management of Pension Scheme Projects with major FTSE 100 companies in London
Passionate about entrepreneurism in general, and a firm believer of its power to bring about a fair and equitable society, Dennis continues to inspire and support young entrepreneurs.
Originally from Uganda, Dennis is the Founder of the Association of Student Enterprises (NASE) - a social enterprise set up in 2015 to inspire and champion skills and youth entrepreneurship in Ugandan Universities - www.nase.co.ug.
