Ahlem BOUSMID
Dr. Ahlem BOUSMID is an Associate Professor at the University of Mila, Algeria, specializing in plant biotechnology, biodiversity, and agricultural innovation. With a PhD in Plant Biotechnology from the University of Mentouri Constantine 1, she has over six years of experience in higher education, teaching and supervising research in biotechnology, crop improvement, and entrepreneurship.
Her scientific work includes peer-reviewed publications indexed in Scopus and presentations at national and international conferences. Dr. Bousmid actively fosters university–society relations through collaborations with institutions such as the Forest Conservation Department of Mila, ITGC El Khroub, and the National Agency for the Support and Development of Entrepreneurship.
Beyond her teaching and research, she is committed to promoting sustainable agricultural practices and innovation through applied research and technology transfer. She currently serves as Program Head of the Bachelor in Agricultural Sciences and is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Sustainable Development Research.
