Alessia Melasecche Germini

I graduated from the University of Perugia, Faculty of Economics, with a master’s degree in economics and business. I earned her Doctoral Degree (PhD) in 2005, with a focus on the "Internationalisation of SMEs."

From 2006 to 2011, I served as an Adjunct Professor of "Marketing," and in 2005, I also taught "Public and Non-Profit Company Organisation" at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Perugia, Italy.

I am a Partner at META Group, an international investment and advisory company operating within the innovation chain, where I hold the position of Chief Executive Officer. Since 2016, I've also been a member of the Board of Directors at META Ventures Srl, an Italian investment company, and Ingenium Asset Management, a Polish investment company.

Since 2004, I'm a Member of the Reseau du Pays du Groupe Visegrad, an association that brings together European Universities and Research Centers dealing with the transformations occurring in the European economic, social, and cultural system.

Starting in 2013, I have been regularly engaged by the European Commission, specifically DG Connect, DG Research & Innovation, DG Home, Research Executive Agency, and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, to participate as an Expert Evaluator, Reviewer, and Rapporteur in evaluation and assessment panels.

In 2015, META Group as the Italian GEW Host organisedin Milan the Global Entrepreneurship Congress.

In 2022, I was selected by DG HOME as one of the 65 members of the Experts Group for the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) and the Strengthening Security Research and Innovation Sub-group, which consists of 12 members at the European level.

I have more than 20 years of experience and specific expertise in exploitation-related activities, awareness-raising on entrepreneurship, drawing up innovation and entrepreneurship policies, critical analysis of economic factors in the market, and evaluating and assessing business ideas.
