Aminata Kane Balde

Aminata Kane is a seasoned civil society leader, community mobilizer, and social entrepreneur with extensive experience in public-private partnerships, advocacy, and human capital development. She has dedicated her career to empowering women, youth, and underserved communities across Africa, implementing and managing multi-sectoral projects in areas including entrepreneurship, agriculture, gender equality, and human rights.

As Founder and Executive Director of Craving 4 Development (C4D), Aminata curates and manages innovative programs such as Pan-African agriculture events, cross-sector televised business development shows, and initiatives promoting gender-responsive supply chain practices. She also leads The Ignition Hour program, which identifies and celebrates entrepreneurial trailblazers across the continent.

Aminata has served in senior roles for organizations like AfriCASO, Global Citizen Year, and the European Union Delegation in Sierra Leone, managing programs that advance human rights, HIV/AIDS advocacy, and emergency response. She has worked across multiple African countries including Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Egypt, The Gambia, and Kenya, and has built a reputation for cross-cultural collaboration, team development, and programmatic excellence.

Her academic background spans African Literature and Civilization (MPhil, PhD in progress), Human Resource Management (Postgraduate), and English Language and Civilization (BA, MA), complemented by executive training in business strategy and entrepreneurship. Aminata is fluent in English, French, Wolof, and Pulaar, with reading and writing proficiency in Arabic.
