Ahmadzia Momand

Ahmadzia Momand is a passionate advocate for quality education, believing in its power to break cycles of poverty and create opportunities for social and economic mobility. A recent graduate in Business Administration from Ivy Tech Indianapolis, he now attends the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He served as a student representative on Ivy Tech’s State Board of Trustees, representing the 19-campus system in 2023-2024. He was also a member of the hiring committee for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education's student representative.

Since 2022, Ahmadzia has served as Student Body President at Ivy Tech, increasing student engagement by 10% through collaboration with the Student Life Office. He contributed to the college’s strategic plan, Higher Education at the Speed of Life, as a member of the President’s Steering Committee and worked with statewide SGA leaders to present student engagement solutions to the State Board of Trustees.

Currently, he serves as a Career Coach with the K-14 Initiatives, supporting high school students in Dual Enrollment programs. These programs partner with Indiana high schools, enabling students to earn college credits and even an associate degree by the time they graduate. This initiative significantly benefits underrepresented families, saving time and reducing education costs.

Beyond campus, Ahmadzia is an intercultural leader with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), promoting global cooperation. As a Postsecondary Policy and Advocacy Fellow at Complete College America (CCA), he works on policy initiatives to improve higher education. Committed to student success and institutional development, he aims to continue his career in higher education management.
