Andile Sinqoto

Andile Sinqoto is a Film & TV Director with almost two decades of experience in the industry. Career Journey He began his career as a Personal Assistant and gradually progressed through roles including Producer, Assistant Director, Director of Photography, and ultimately Director over the course of his career. He has since worked on numerous feature films, directed numerous documentaries, as well as directed hundreds and hundreds of TV Commercials as well as Music Videos. He also worked on the Bill & Melinda Gates Documentary shot in Africa as part of the directing team. In 2022 I Represented IBFC at Durban Filmmart as part of the panel that spoke on topic: SA In Focus: State of The South African Audio Visual. In 2023 Represented IDAA at the Fame week Africa. With his own Ted style talk Topic: Achieving Consistent Excellence Across Budgets He is currently ranked on the top 25 TVC Directors in the world by an international community called Creative Pool. He is also a member of the South African Society Of Cinematographers (SASC). He currently seats on two reference groups Subcommittes of the Department of Sports, Arts & Culture; the Subcommittee of Policy, Regulation, Legislation & Advocacy, as well as the Transformation Subcommittee. He is also on the council of the South African Screen Federation (SASFED). He is now the Chairperson of the Independent Directors Association Africa (IDAA), as well as the Directors Guild of South Africa (DGSA). Andile was also selected to be one of the Judges for the SAFTA Awards 18, As well as part of the Jury panel on the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme (PESP 5)
