Bio
For over 11 years, I was employed with the Ministry of Finance dealing with International and Legal tax Issues in the Policy and Strategy Division. I was one of the key analysts ensuring that the Republic of Seychelles always remain in compliance with international tax standards such as the Common Reporting Standard and FATCA. Consequently, I have been trained to be an OECD Global Forum tax assessor and has so far assessed the ability of Aruba to exchange tax information upon request.
On the 1st November 2016, President Danny Faure appointed me as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Investment Board and subsequently on the 15th February 2017 as the Chief Executive Officer.
I left the CEO position in December 2018 to pursue my ambition in law whereby I was placed as Advisor/Legal Advisor to the Minister responsible for Investment, Industry and Entrepreneurship Development.
In February 2019, President Faure appointed me in the post of Principal Secretary of the Department of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development where I have been serving for almost two years. My duties are linked to the development of laws, policies and initiatives geared towards the creating a conducive environment for the sustainable development of Industries and Entrepreneurs.
