Angelique Sina

Angelique Sina, President and Founder of Friends of Puerto Rico, has dedicated her career to empowering marginalized communities through sustainable entrepreneurship and farming initiatives. She established Friends of Puerto Rico in 2015 during her tenure at the World Bank Group's International Finance Corporation, aiming to provide women and children with a pathway out of poverty.

At the heart of her mission is the SEEDS program, a youth entrepreneurship initiative affiliated with Café Ama, a socially conscious coffee brand partnered with Friends of Puerto Rico. Through SEEDS, Angelique mentors young individuals, equipping them with the skills and resources necessary to start their own businesses.

A distinguished alumna of the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla, Angelique furthered her education at Johns Hopkins University and Stanford University Business School.

Currently pursuing studies at Georgetown University, she remains committed to expanding her knowledge and expertise.
In 2016, Angelique was appointed Commissioner for the Latino Community by the Mayor of Washington, D.C. Her extensive leadership roles include serving as Trustee on the New York Foundling, Vice Chair of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and contributing member of AT&T’s Millennial Council.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Angelique is an avid golfer who finds joy in exploring diverse coffee shops. She also holds the prestigious titles of President of Panorama Farm and Sinabel Group.

A Cordova alumna from the class of 2010, Angelique's journey from the World Bank Group to her current roles reflects her unwavering dedication to creating positive change and empowering communities worldwide.
