Anthony Chow

Anthony Chow is the CEO and co-founder of igloo, a leading global access management technology company that creates smart locks, devices and enterprise software for homes, commercial properties and infrastructure. A Stanford University alumnus, Anthony's journey into entrepreneurship began during his tenure as a data scientist at SingTel, coupled with his personal experience as an Airbnb host. Confronted with the hassles of physical key exchanges, he recognized a critical challenge in the burgeoning sharing economy. This insight led to the birth of igloo at the end of 2015, and the company’s vision for a world without keys has gone from strength to strength.

Since its launch, igloo has grown to partner with 2,500 (and counting!) businesses globally, including Airbnb and Uber, and can be found in major retailers including Walmart, Lowes, and Harvey Norman. The company’s laser-focus on user experience has garnered it prestigious awards including the CES Innovation Honoree Award, the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award, and was included in Forbes Asia Top 100 to watch in 2022. In 2023, the company also became the first company in the world to send a smart padlock to the harsh environments of space, demonstrating its cutting-edge technology in an out-of-this world environment.

In addition to his role at igloo, Anthony is a part of the Milken Institute's Young Leader Circle. His passion for technology and entrepreneurship extends to academia as well, where he serves as an adjunct associate professor at the National University of Singapore. He was also recognized as a 35 Under 35 by the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE.sg), the national voice for the startup ecosystem in Singapore. Most recently, Anthony was also awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the year 2024 in the Technology solutions category.

Today, igloo has regional offices in eight countries across the globe, including Singapore, London and Austin, and has been featured in Forbes and The Wall Street Journal.
