May Ho

May Ho is a London-based consultant, educator, and the Founder and Principal Consultant of artwhich®, a management training and coaching practice established in 2021. Drawing on over 14 years of multi-sector leadership spanning technology, IT advisory, higher education, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and cultural heritage, May delivers executive training, immersive business simulations, and strategic consulting for commercial enterprises, academic institutions, non-profit organisations, high-growth ventures, and purpose-driven individuals.

Early Entrepreneurial Roots & Ecosystem Building

May’s entrepreneurial journey began early when she co-developed and illustrated a children’s storybook through Young Enterprise—distributed through independent bookshops and local community channels in Brighton. This foundational experience sparked a lifelong commitment to empowering new entrepreneurs and connecting startup communities. Her early career bridged cultural heritage, corporate strategy, and venture creation across London and Hong Kong SAR, including some foundational roles at English Heritage, the British Library, and Historic Royal Palaces. Translating her background into the broader innovation landscape, May actively contributed to startup ecosystem development within the incubator at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) and coached early-stage founders through StartEd.com—a practical, agile foundation that directly informs her work helping founders, social enterprises, and established institutions overcome structural barriers to growth.

Executive Leadership, Coaching & Education

With over 1,000 hours of 1:1 and group coaching experience, May specialises in executive leadership development, enterprise skill-building, and strategic career transitions. Her client portfolio spans secondary school students taking their first steps in enterprise to C-suite leaders navigating complex organisational change. Her higher education track record includes serving as Undergraduate Deputy Course Director and Lecturer in Business and Management at Coventry University London, an External Examiner for UK universities, and an Executive Coach for a Level 5 CMI Leadership Programme at SERC.

World-Class Academic & Professional Foundation

May holds an extraordinary multi-disciplinary background from leading UK institutions:

MSc in Applied Landscape Archaeology (Distinction) – Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford

MSt in Sustainability Leadership – Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge

MA in Managing Archaeological Sites (Distinction) - University College London (UCL)

BA (Hons) in Graphic Design (Illustration Pathway) – Central Saint Martins (UAL)

Her professional credentials reflect her dedication to governance, pedagogical rigour, and project execution. She is a Chartered Manager Fellow (FCMI), Advance HE Fellow (FHEA), PGCert in Academic Practice in Higher Education (Distinction) holder, Level 3 CAVA assessor, PRINCE2® Practitioner, and AgilePM® Practitioner.

Sustainability Leadership & Global Engagement

An active sustainability researcher, published author, co-editor for Springer Cham, and peer reviewer for Emerald and Springer Nature, May is an international keynote speaker on sustainability leadership capacities, enterprise skills, and organizational decision-making. Following an expedition to the Antarctic Peninsula in 2025, she became an official IAATO Antarctic Ambassador. Her deep commitment to public engagement and ecosystem building includes roles as a STEM Ambassador, former Vice Chair and School Governor at Grange Primary School in Newham, former London Museums Group Committee Member, and a London 2012 Olympic Interpreter for Press, Media, and Olympic Families.
