Assem is a socio-economic development/ livelihood expert with, MBA in marketing management and has more than 18 years of experience in MENA regions with a focus on 6 main business industries FMCG, Agriculture, Agro-food, Microfinance, Chemical construction, circular & green economy\ WEF NEXUS, and digital transformation (Fintech)
Assem managed the Marketing department in several multi-national companies by identifying market-based business opportunities and translating them into products/ services as key to the value generation in the business. He has built and strengthened industry partnerships with community figures, local government entities, and media to improve product placements, amplify coverage and maximize the effectiveness of marketing strategies. He has skillfully balanced organizational objectives and productive relationships, strategizing and recommending ways to achieve and maintain a competitive business edge.
Assem Plays an Institutional and Strategical Role as a founding member of 4 companies such as Vitas Misr for microfinance, THE LEE EXPERIENCE organization, Zowada Mobile Apps, and Digital media hub. he is acting to set up policies and procedures for fundraising plans, financial modeling \ controlling\ analysis and pitching for funds, build stakeholders relationship from international organizations, investors and governmental entities. Assem plays a learning & development role by developing several training materials related to the business value chain, leadership, and entrepreneurship with a digital-oriented approach from the Sustainable Business Women manual, e-learning for microfinance, e-learning for entrepreneurship, market, and international research toolkit…etc. Assem Train and coached more than 3,000 participants in entrepreneurship, marketing, digital marketing, and feasibility studies in the MENA region, supported 59 start-up businesses in the agri-food and agriculture sector with a business plan in the MENA region, 8 social and solidarity initiatives were supported by a full incubation program from the ideation till the seed stage using GYB SYB IYB training package BY ITCILO
Currently, Assem is managing multiple entities & UN projects in MENA such as The LEE Experience organization specializes in Incubation for start-ups and entrepreneurship, Zawada mobile Apps for a digital accelerator with 5 pillars (E-commerce, E-learning, crowdfunding, mentoring, and Job seeking), digital media Hub.
