Adamou Yazi

Adamou Yazi is the Managing Director GEN Niger, which builds and supports the entrepreneurial ecosystem in every city and every community in Niger. Adamou served as Director and Host for US based nonprofit organizations for more than 25 years covering the Sahel and Sahara area. His field of expertise includes, but is not limited to, personal development, entrepreneurship and business development.

Adamou is a certified entrepreneurship and personal development trainer by a U.S. based NGO. A serial entrepreneur, he founded two companies in Niger. ACCEntrepreneur supported, trained, to helped entrepreneurs access financing. He started an acceleration program called B2B Zaure as a pilot program supported by SNV and USAID and launched the Niger Business Angels Network, first initiative of the kind in Niger. He co-founded a media business and established the YMCA Niger. He serves on the boards of many local nonprofit organizations.

He is a U.S. Exchange Alumni on Entrepreneurship from the University of Findlay, IVLP alum and Impact Awardee and has attended many entrepreneurship programs including the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Marrakech and Nairobi, Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Johannesburg and World Business Angel Forum in Istanbul where he was appointed as Commissioner to Niger.

Adamou earned an engineer degree in Topography from Ecole Nationale d’Ingenieurs in Bamako, Mali. He is a pioneer, implementer and coordinator.
