Bachir Bounou Issoufa (PhD)

Dr. Issoufa BACHIR BOUNOU is an Agro-environmental Engineer and PhD in Soil Sciences. Issoufa is in charge of research-development at NGO-CADEL and a General Director of Agri Business Consulting (ABC) enterprise.

He has more than eight (8) years working experience in research institutes and NGOs. His areas of expertise are the creation and dissemination of agricultural technologies, social entrepreneurship and agri business. Through two (2) of the projects that he manages at CADEL, Issoufa enrolled more than 5000 of women and youth in agribusiness for sustaining their livelihood and increase their resilience to climate changes. He completed a Civic Leadership at Appalachian State University, NC in USA from June to August 2016 as a part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). ABC enterprise’ main business is the management and processing of household waste to increase agricultural production through the use of compost and the production of art tools through recycling.

Dr. BACHIR BOUNOU Issoufa est Ingénieur Agro-environnementaliste de formation et aussi Docteur en Sciences du Sol. Issoufa est chargé de recherche-développement de l’ONG-Comité d’Appui au Développement Local (CADEL) et Directeur Général de l’entreprise Agri Business Consulting (ABC).

Il a plus de huit (8) ans d'expérience de travail dans les instituts de recherche et les ONGs. Les domaines d'expertise de Issoufa concernent la création et la vulgarisation des technologies agricoles, l’entreprenariat social et l’agro business. Par le biais de deux (2) projets qu'il gère à l’ONG-CADEL, Issoufa a intégré plus de 5000 femmes et jeunes dans l'agro-business pour maintenir leur bien-être familial et accroitre leur résilience au changement climatique. Issoufa a participé au programme Mandela Washington Fellowship initié par le Président Obama, Young African Leader Initiative (YALI), dans le domaine de Civic Leadership au niveau de Appalachian State University, Boone, NC, USA. L’activité principale de l’entreprise ABC est la gestion et transformation de déchets ménagers pour accroitre la production agricole à travers l’utilisation du compost et la production des outils d’arts à travers le recyclage.
