Bat-Orshikh Erdenebat is a distinguished advisor at Development Solutions NGO in Mongolia, renowned for his visionary leadership in sustainable business practices. With a remarkable blend of over 15 years of experience in employment, entrepreneurship, and a profound commitment to social and environmental impact, Bat-Orshikh is a catalyst for positive change in the youth entrepreneurship landscape in his home country.

As a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and a Certified Management Consultant, he leverages a wealth of knowledge and practical insights to foster an inclusive, climate-smart ecosystem that supports and promotes entrepreneurship among disadvantaged youth in peri-urban and rural regions.

One of Bat-Orshikh's flagship initiatives is the Youth Business Mongolia (YBM) program, a testament to his dedication to empowering young social and green entrepreneurs. Through collaborations with Youth Business International, the SME Agency of Mongolia, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, and other supporting stakeholders, he has spearheaded efforts to navigate the complexities of sustainability. Under his guidance, these entrepreneurs have integrated circular economy principles and innovative green technologies into their operations, paving the way for a more sustainable future.

He has initiated and managed over 20 entrepreneurship support projects for rural and disadvantaged entrepreneurs in Mongolia, totaling more than 20 million USD. These projects have focused on strengthening entrepreneurial mindstes and skills, improving access to finance and market opportunities, and advocating for systemiv support. He has developed the winning concepts and project proposals to donors include USADi, the EU, SDC, JICA, ADB, and EBRD.

Recently, Bat-Orshikh has been actively involved in studying the social and solidarity economy in Mongolia, promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and decent work. This passion drives him to create and shape an ecosystem conducive to social enterprises, cooperatives, and self-help groups in Mongolia, fostering a thriving community of transparent and decentralized businesses.
