Borges Duave

Borges Duave is a Mozambican citizen born in the southern Province of Inhambane, in Maxixe District, he is aged 25 and Works as Lead Developer at Izyshop,SA , which is the first online supermarket ever to be established in Mozambique. He has also been rendering computer services to companies and individuals on freelance basis as well as developing applications for innumerous purposes.Borges has always been passionate about developing businesses, which explains why he was already selling iced-juice to primary school students in His neighbourhood at the age of 12 whilst selling charcoal in a small garage in his house. A couple of years later he would meet up with a cousin of his named Aquilino who had been admitted to a computer course at Eduardo Mondlane University-UEM. Aquilino, undoubtedly, inspired him to follow his steps and, still immersed in that entrepreneurial spirit, he started an internet café, in that small garage in his house that used to be a charcoal stall, aiming at helping youth facing difficulties in accessing the internet or a computer to type their academic assignments, in his neighbourhood .This has made him more passionate about computers and motivated him to complete His technical and Professional training in this field by Instituto Médio Politécnico-IMEP. Driven by the increasing will and desire to learn more about his work he undertook an internship at Aeroportos de Moçambique where he had the chance to work at their new facilities and got familiar with the newest technologies that were being implemented in those facilities at that time. However, Borges did not stop there, he got employed at Sojogo - Sociedade Gestora de Jogos Sociais de Moçambique as a computer technician and applications developer and went on perfecting His skills in computer programming as at that time the company was developing an online games application. With the experience he acquired  he started rendering services to some companies such as SGFROTAS, New Taxi, Jfaife, Promarte to which he also developed websites, soil management applications for the National Institute for Agricultural Research and an Academic Registry application which he intends to take to the largest possible number of schools that need this service.Borges spends most of His spare time reading and learning new things; it turns out in one of those moments he had the idea of developing a stock management application for grocery stores. He presented this wonderful idea to his cousin and he was overwhelmed by what he saw and then decided to introduce him to a friend of His who was in the process of developing an online supermarket application to make Mozambican people’s life much easier. Borges was invited to join the team whose mission was to develop a website. He did not hesitate. And as someone who always seeks new challenges he quitted his job at Sojogo to help making Izyshop happen as well as to seize an opportunity to going on rendering services to smaller enterprises and help them grow up in the field of technologies.Borges is passionate about helping the largest number possible of start-ups in Mozambique by offering them computer solutions.Apart from reading and learning new things in his scope of activity Borges spends his spare time playing soccer. I believe he is someone who has got huge interest in things and dreams big, with no boundaries at all. There is no room for laziness and complacency in his mind. He always pushes himself to the limit when pursuing his goal. His greatest passion is travelling, get to know new places, meditate and talk to friends and family. Ellon Musk and Steve Jobs are his source of inspiration and he believes he will leave a legacy when he is gone to help and facilitate the life of Mozambican people as well as those of the companies operating in the field of computers.
