Brandon Sakbun

My name is Brandon Sakbun, and I am an Infantry Captain in the United States Army. In May 2018, I commissioned as an Army Officer and branched Infantry. I am a two-time graduate of Indiana University. There, I received a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and became a Distinguished Military Graduate through IU Army ROTC. I hold a graduate degree from the #1 ranked Masters in Public Affairs Program (O'Neill School). I served on Active Duty for almost five years. During my time in the Active Duty Army, I deployed with the 75th Ranger Regiment twice. I have experience in project management, planning at the operational and strategic level, logistics, and advising government organizations. I am a member of the Indiana National Guard.

In January 2023, I announced my campaign for Mayor of Terre Haute. My campaign was focused on revitalizing and modernizing a city with a declining population and stagnant median income. On November 7th, history was made. I was elected as the 43rd Mayor of Terre Haute.

I'm married to my lovely wife Paiton. Together, we have a daughter and two pets.
