Brian Segal is the Founder and CEO of Thrive Initiative and the creator of the Brian Segal Method, an innovative approach that combines somatic awareness, emotional regulation, communication skills, and relationship development to help individuals, families, communities, and organizations build healthier and more resilient relationships.
With a background spanning business, leadership development, and community engagement, Brian has spent years exploring the connection between emotional wellbeing, human connection, and sustainable social change. His work is driven by a simple but powerful belief: many of society's greatest challenges—including violence, bullying, workplace conflict, family breakdown, and poor mental health—are rooted in disconnection from ourselves and from one another.
Drawing on insights from neuroscience, trauma-informed practice, systems thinking, and lived experience, Brian Segal Method provide practical tools that help people better understand their emotions, regulate stress, communicate authentically, and navigate conflict more effectively. His approach focuses not only on what people think, but also on what they feel and carry within their bodies, recognising that lasting transformation occurs when cognitive understanding is integrated with embodied experience.
Through Thrive Initiative and the iThrive Foundation, Brian works with schools, communities, youth groups, sports clubs, and corporate organizations to strengthen emotional resilience, leadership capacity, and social cohesion. His programmes are designed to empower individuals to move beyond survival patterns, develop authentic voice, and create healthier relationships at home, in the workplace, and within their communities.
A passionate advocate for youth development, Brian has been instrumental in creating pathways that enable young people from underserved communities to become facilitators, leaders, and changemakers in their own right. His work seeks to address both emotional wellbeing and economic opportunity, helping individuals develop the confidence, skills, and support networks needed to thrive.
Brian is a regular speaker on topics including emotional regulation, leadership, resilience, healthy masculinity, conflict transformation, trauma-informed practice, and community development. He believes that meaningful change begins with the quality of our relationships and that by helping people reconnect with themselves and each other, we can build stronger families, healthier organizations, and more resilient communities.
