I have completed my Masters in Development Management (MDM) from Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in 1993 -1994. I was awarded ADB- Japan Scholarship to conduct my study.
I am Fellow of Cost & Management Accountant (FCMA) qualified in 1986 from Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB).
I am CEO of Bangladesh Venture capital ltd- a reputed venture capital company in Bangladesh.
I worked in different banks in different capacities such as Head of SME, Head of Finance and chief operating officer.
I have worked in different NGO and INGO for 14 years (November 1988 June 2002) in different position such as Senior Cost Officer in ICDDRB (Nov 1988- Feb 1992), Finance Director in FPAB (Feb 1992- March 1996), Finance Manager and Head of Finance (April 1996- July 2002) in BRAC and Head of Finance in Bank Al Falah (June 2007- March 2009). I have practical experience in heading and leading Accounting, Financial management position of different organizations.
I used to oversee financial aspects of the grant portfolios, monitoring expenditure and projections. I was responsible to keep budgets under continuous review. I used to produce compliant statutory accounts and oversee the audit, meeting all donor requirements, and providing financial analysis internally and externally to donors. I used to maintain relationship with the NGO Affairs Bureau and ensure that all reporting and compliance requirements are fulfilled.
As treasure I played active role financial governance issues of UDDIPAN, a renowned MFI in Bangladesh. I am Chairman of Nari Unnoyon Forum- an MFI work for the development of women. I have hands on experience of management and governance of not for profit organization. I am President of Agami Education Foundation since october 2022, where I was Vice president from October 2019 to September 2022) I am chairman of Sammilita Janakallyan kendra (Coordinated peoples welfare center) since August 2022, it is a non government organization working for health and education of poor people.
I used to train program/business personnel on different aspects financial, budget, business plan etc. I have done project financial reporting for different projects in ICDDRB, BRAC and FPAB.
I have high level of proficiency in written and spoken English and report writing. Bangla is my mother tongue.
