Growing up in an environment where opportunities were scarce, Chantal witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by her community. Determined to make a difference, she pursued her journey to understand and learn about global economies, focusing on sustainable development.
During her career in Tourism, she recognized the immense potential of tourism as a catalyst for economic growth and community empowerment. Chantal embarked on a journey to leverage her knowledge and passion by working in various roles within the tourism industry. She gained valuable insights by serving as a tourism executive, where she facilitated collaborations between local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations. This led her to the launch of her co-owned company EI Management Company. Her ability to foster effective partnerships and engage stakeholders proved instrumental in driving tourism growth and creating
sustainable livelihoods. Recognized for her exceptional leadership qualities, Chantal was appointed as an Executive Board Member for the Informal Economy Development Forum. In this role, she spearheads strategic initiatives to attract investment and promote entrepreneurship. Her ability to identify emerging trends, leverage technology, and foster innovation allows her to develop thriving ecosystems that supports the local economy. She is also the global sectorial head for Women in Business for the Global Women Development Network. She actively engages with diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, private sectors, and international organizations, fostering collaboration and ensuring the voices of all stakeholders are heard and considered.
