she founded flowers vasette in 1989, championing the artistry of nature, encouraging innovation, and creatively transforming how businesses and brands utilise floral art to create unique scenes and design experiences.
over 33 years, flowers vasette has redefined the industry and elevated australia’s floral trade to the world stage.
cherrie has led the strategic and creative vision for luxury brands, hotels, and restaurants such as louis vuitton, chanel, gucci, yves saint laurent, rolex, crown restaurants, sofitel, next hotel and the w hotel. she impresses world-renowned clients, including american express, mecca, aesop, and viktoria woods. while her masterpieces feature at events held by vogue, ngv, australian ballet, victoria racing club, and the melbourne fashion festival.
cherrie has an eye for impactful and beautiful art. in 2005 and 2008, she received the bronze award for floral design of the year, winning gold for the same category two years later. she also won the melbourne markets floral design of the year (2018) and the silver award for floral visual display (2019).
her creative and business success has her sought after, appointed judge at the design files (2019) and melbourne international flower and garden show (2000). cherrie is also the founder of beechmont garden retreat, a working floral production farm with some of the highest sustainability practices.
