Biography of Dr (Mrs) Chikodili Nkiruka Okafor
A senior lecturer in the Department of Management, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
She hails from Enugwu-Ukwu in the Njikoka Local Government of Anambra State.
She holds a doctorate in management from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone; a master's in business administration from the Institute of Public Administration and Management, University of Sierra Leone; and a bachelor of science in education with a specialisation in business education from Ebonyi State University.
She is a Licensed Business Development Service Provider (BDSP) and GEW Coordinator for Enugu State from 2023 to 2025.
She is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and a member of The Academy of Management Nigeria (TAMN). A certified registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Category A, 2025. She received the VC's award of recognition, 'The Most Hard-working Academic Staff in the Department of Management, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. Awarded on the 27th of March 2018.
She is a certified Master eBook Creator (Distinction) and has received an award from 'MC41' as the Best Female' of 2023. She received an award, 'Master of Copywriting', for the successful completion of the Master of Copywriting program in March 2023 with Distinction and a special award as 'Most Active Learner'.
She loves to see young people soar above life's challenges. As a lecturer, consultant, author, and researcher, she gets deeply involved in research, writing, learning, and documentation related to entrepreneurial development, family lifestyle, business growth, and development. She has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in notable learnt journals. She has published over 24 papers in impact factor journals.
She has presented papers at seminars and conferences. She conducts full-time and part-time lecturing and supervision at several nearby universities, including the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, the Business School, and the Institute of Maritime Studies, as well as the Open University, Enugu. She has supervised the project work of over 45 undergraduate students, 7 M.Sc. students, and 4 PhD students. She has served on committees in the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. She reviews papers for notable international and local journals in business and management-related fields.
She provides coaching and mentoring on organisational strategy and relevant NGO policies to civil society organisations (CSOs). She has mentored over 59 SMEs and is still counting, having created a plan of action to achieve objectives using various diagnostic tools.
