Chipandwe Mwengwe

Chipandwe Mwengwe with a background of the Degree in Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Public Administration. currently working as a Senior Social Security Officer Public Awareness at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security Headquarters, with 10 years’ experience in Social Security, over the years I have developed a strong passion for promoting Social Security. Also involved in the Government initiative with the Social Security Schemes working on Extending Social Security to the Informal Economy under which entrepreneurship falls, with the aim of leaving no one behind. As a Senior security officer, it is my duty to ensure that the public is aware of what Social Security is all about and what kind of short-term and long-term benefits are available. It is important to know that people in entrepreneurship will face risks such as accidents, illnesses and retirement. To this effect it is our duty as Government to ensure that people in entrepreneurship space are covered against such risks.
I am excited and look forward to attending the Global Entrepreneurship Conference 2025, where I intend to gain knowledge and network with like-minded people. I am excited that I will learn how people in different countries view social security as a catalyst of entrepreneurship. To also learn how people across the world are Extending Social Security to those in entrepreneurship, my goal is to leverage this experience to improve my knowledge, which will be of great help to my contributions towards the growth and development of social security in our country.
