Colin Leshou Job title: Provincial Manager: Seda (Small Enterprise Development Agency) Executive Summary Mr Colin Leshou is the Provincial Manager for Seda Gauteng, which manages Seda's Enterprise Development Division and technology support for small businesses. Mr Leshou has built a deeper understanding of small business development and overseen the implementation of programmes that grow sustainable small businesses and cooperatives in various roles as Seda over the past 15 years. Mr Leshou holds a Masters's Degree in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch and an MBA from Gordons Institute of Business Studies. His academic research has studied some of the most critical areas of small business development, such as the role of credit guarantee schemes in small business development. Mr Leshou is currently enrolled for a Doctorate in Business Leadership (DBL) Mr Leshou has participated in international small business engagements such as Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2022 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he has influenced the small business development agenda and promoted South African small businesses. He has also participated in the INBIA (International Business Innovation Association) conference in 2022, where he was a speaker on the topic of “The State of Business Incubation in South Africa”. The conference was attended by leaders from over 120 countries. Mr Leshou led a delegation from Seda to the British High Commission’s Cyber Security Conference in London in November 2022 where he participated in a roundtable discussion on the effect of Cybersecurity on South African Small Businesses. Mr Leshou is particularly passionate about Africa's economic growth through small business and can engage entrepreneurs from all walks of life.
