Delializ Rivera Nevárez

Professor Delializ Rivera-Nevárez embarked on her journey at the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamón (UPRB) in 2007 within the Continuing Education and Professional Studies Division and now serves as the Honors Program and Distance Education Coordinator. In her pivotal role, she oversees the development and management of distance education initiatives at UPRB. Additionally, Professor Rivera-Nevárez imparts knowledge as a Business Communication Professor in the Business Communication Department at the College of Business Administration, University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus (UPRRP).

Her academic foundation is robust, holding a B.A. in English at the Secondary Level (TESS) and a M.A. in Education with a specialization in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), both from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Furthermore, she has completed all requisite coursework and comprehensive examinations for an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on TESL at the same institution.

With an illustrious career spanning various educational roles, Professor Rivera-Nevárez has contributed significantly as an educational consultant, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) trainer, voice-over artist, content creator, and workshop presenter for numerous educational institutions across Puerto Rico. Her certification as an online instructor has led to the creation and facilitation of courses such as INGL 3344 EL1 Technical Writing and Communication and INCO 4009 EL1 Effective Business Writing, Research, and Reports. Since 2006, she has been dedicated to ESL education, serving as a College Board and Conversational English Instructor for DECEP at the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamón and Carolina, as well as an English Instructor at UPR Bayamón, UPR Carolina, and UPR Río Piedras.

Professor Rivera-Nevárez is deeply committed to the field of English for Specific Purposes (ESP), specializing in areas such as information technology, office management, business, and health. Her goal is to equip professionals with the necessary language skills to navigate the evolving global workplace.
