Străseni District Council Dîmcenco Mariana

According to archive data, the locality of Străseni was documented for the first time as a village on March 20, 1545, when Alexandru Voivod, the Lord of Moldavia, confirmed to the Pobrata monastery half of the estate, which the monks had as a gift. The name of the Străşeni district comes from the city-residence Străşeni, which is located 23 km from Chişinău, on a hilly, wooded terrain. Străşeni district is located in the central part of the Republic of Moldova. It was established in November 1940. The relief is hilly and rugged, sloping from the northwest to the southeast, intersected by valleys and streams. Black soil and forest ash predominate. On the territory of the district flow: the river Bîc (155 km), on the course of which there is the reservoir Ghidighici, Ichel (98 km), Işnovăţ (59 km). On the territory of the district, not far from the village of Scoreni, there is the oak of Ştefan cel Mare (500 years old), the "Codru" nature reserve, founded in 1971, on the basis of the Căpriana - Lozova forestry massif. The natural landscape of ţigăneşti is also of rare beauty, in which the "ţigăneşti" monastery is harmoniously integrated. Archaeological excavations were carried out in the localities of Străşeni, Codreanca, Cojuşna, Lozova, Pănăşeşti, Recea, Scoreni, Vorniceni, etc. We can conclude that man has populated these lands since prehistoric times. The numerous settlements, mounds, resorts tell us about this. Even fortresses were discovered, which refer to the Geto-Dacian period. With certainty, we can state that the district has been populated since the Neolithic.
The most charming tourist itinerary, which to some extent defines the central area of the republic from an ecclesiastical point of view, is the monastic complex "Mănăstirea Căpriana", founded in the century. 15. Museum "A. Puşchin" from the village of Dolna is also a special tourist attraction. The mansions of the Russo, Zamfirache-Ralli, Gr. Ivănuş families, the villa of the Romanov family are also a tourist attraction. The building of the railway station in the city of Bucovăţ is a secular monument, which reflects the architectural trends of the first half of the 20th century. The mottos we could attribute to the locals are: life is short and ancestral traditions are eternal; through noble deeds, forgiveness and faith man will be immortalized.
