Daniel Joloba

Daniel Joloba has over eighteen years of has over 20 years’ experience in emerging economies and developing countries running their enterprise while also providing consultancy in monitoring and evaluation systems; private sector development; competitiveness; investment & export promotion; Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) access to finance related & sectoral issues (including government established SME funds); as well as practical expertise in SME mentoring and training. A specialist in evaluation, he is experienced in identification of economic indicators and the collection of data that enhances SME growth and access to finance, regulatory issues critical for the growth of the SME sector, effect of external capital injection on SME growth, in monitoring of economic trends and development and management of mechanisms to capture and analyze economic data of SMEs, especially in East and Central African countries. He has proven leadership, influencing and organizational skills, experienced as Project Team Leader; and a proven track record of leading Evaluation/Mid Term Review missions with more than 15 major evaluations carried out to date; profound expertise in conducting impact evaluation of complex multi-sector and multi-site programmes. He is experienced with multi-donor SME support programs with a meticulous understanding of donor co-ordination and harmonization gained through expansive work with the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, MasterCard Foundation, GIZ, Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO), Argidius Foundation, among others. He is also a practicing SME founder and director with hands-on experience in SME access to finance endeavors in emerging and fragile economies. He has a bachelors degree and Masters degree in Economics from Makerere University and is aged 46 years.
