Eddy Wong

Eddy Wong is an advisor, consultant, investor and former 4x tech startup cofounder.

Eddy is also a Venture Partner at AccelHub and can be seen advising and coaching accelerators and startups in the US and Peru including Wayra Peru (part of Telefonica), SwissContact Worldwide (Peru), Axle Travel (Denim), 90pct and Real Estate Chain.

Eddy is a serial cofounder and technologist who has 4 startups under his belt. Most recently he was CTO and cofounder of Wanderu, a Boston-based search engine for inter-city buses and trains. As CTO, he built the the engine from the ground up with leading edge technology like noSQL and graph databases. He created an industry-first infrastructure layer for the bus and train industry, now the biggest in North America and Europe.

His earliest startup was Boston-based Open Sesame, a pioneer in personalization and recommendation technology using AI in the 2000s. As Chief Software Architect he lead its spinoff to Allaire Corp at transaction valued at $5 Mill.

In addition to his startup experience, Eddy is an expert in noSQL and graph database technology.
He was a Solutions Architect at DataStax advising Fortune 500 companies on noSQL databases, specifically on Cassandra. He has been pioneer in the usage of NoSQL technologies and
became community organizer for Boston for MongoDB and Neo4j.

Eddy is Peruvian-born, and moved to the US with a Fulbright Scholarship. He obtained a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Ohio Wesleyan University and a M.S. in Computer Science from Brown University.
