Eric Hansen

Eric Hansen is a Senior Advisor to GEN, providing advice on programming. Eric has spent most of the last 20 years helping develop entrepreneurship ecosystems internationally. In 2002, he co-founded the Center for Entrepreneurship Inc., a US-based non-profit organization that worked across Russia to develop sustainable regional entrepreneurial ecosystems by identifying local stakeholders and providing them programming that they conducted in their cities, including: GEN’s Global Entrepreneurship Week and Startup Huddle; a 9-month ScaleUp accelerator for growth entrepreneurs; Kauffman’s FastTrac; and university faculty training programs in entrepreneurship teaching methodologies.

In 2010, Eric co-founded the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA), and oversaw the organization of the 2013 G20 YEA Summit in Moscow, with over 400 entrepreneurs attending from all G20 countries. He also co-founded the Russian Association of Entrepreneurship Education, where he served on the Board of Directors. Currently, Eric is a Partner at Social Venture Partners in Boulder Colorado, advising and mentoring social entrepreneurs in his community.
