LIFE BEFORE AMERICA
I moved to America in 2017 to purse a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering. Being an only child, it was very difficult for my parents to let go off me and send me abroad, away from home. But they realized that for me to reach my full potential, I needed to get the best education and hence they stuck to their decision. I graduated from Maple Leaf International School, with 2As and 2Bs, and with a high SAT score, I was able to receive 70% scholarship for my studies in the USA.

LIFE IN AMERICA
One thing I prioritized in my 4 years at Texas Tech is to get involved in as many activities as possible. Within a span of 1 year, I was able to make my presence imminent, and through voting I became the Senator and College Chairman for the Engineering Department. After showing success in Senate, I was offered to work in the most reputed office on campus, the Office of the President at Texas Tech. On top of that, I was also given the opportunity to work as Student Ambassador, giving tours and recruiting athletes, through the President’s Select program.

LIFE AFTER AMERICA
I moved back to Bangladesh two days after my graduation, even though I had PhD options and job offers waiting on my desk. But I wanted to make a bigger impact, I needed to reach my full potential. I started working for two newly formed companies, where I learned so much more than I could have from 4 years abroad. On top of that, I am also simultaneously working on two startups, both with the intention of making a difference.
