Floriane Favie Kaneza

Floriane Favie KANEZA has over 9 years of experience in non-profit organizations and government agencies working on projects that promote Youth Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship with a focus on rural areas. Currently, Favie is a Policy Officer for the Switzerland Agency for Development Coopération, where she contributes to the analysis of the context and development of strategies that would allow funded projects to adapt to evolving context, managing the portfolio of employment and economic development ensuring that funds allocated to projects are leading to expected results and the latter are consolidated by local administration and other key actors in the ecosystems; she is involved in championing meaningful youth participation in decision making and the use of robust evidences to allow decision makers to make informed decision. Favie holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Banking and Finance option from Africa Nazarene University and is currently doing an MBA at the same university. Favie is driven by her commitment to ecosystem building and youth empowerment and one day she hopes to witness a country that enables environment for meaningful youth participation in decision making and offers decent job opportunities for youth. After the GEN25 Congress, Favie plans to continue her work in contributing to building a solid ecosystem of key actors in promoting youth economic empowerment and meaningful youth participation in decision making as the young people are not the Burundi of tomorrow as elders like putting it but the Burundi of today and the ones who will ensure the the vision 2040-2060 will come to fruition.
