Fiorina Mugione
Fiorina is an Economist with an MBA in International Trade. She has 27 years’ experience in international organizations, where she has led more than 30 private sector development programmes (OECD, ESCAP; UNDESA, UNCTAD). Between 2006-2019, she led the Entrepreneurship Programme at UNCTAD. This Programme aims to inspire entrepreneurship and strengthen the supply capacity of small and medium enterprises through business linkages. Fiorina coordinated the EMPRETEC programme – the one stop agency for small and medium sized enterprise development- in 40 countries around the world (). She took up her new role in GDSI as Regional Director in July 2019. Since 2022, senior consultant and master coach developing entrepreneurs in emerging economies. In 2023, I participate in the #Capacity4devAmbassadors Programme, alongside more than 25 international development professionals. I have also joined the Boards of OWIT UK; Prayana India; and Accelerate Africa
