The Gambia Start-Up Chamber of Commerce (GSCC) is Trade and Business support Organization registered with Attorney general chambers under the Gambia Government Company Act. It’s also working toward affiliating with The Gambia National Youth Council and existing Chamber of Commerce and BSOs in Gambia ecosystem. The GSCC work and mandate includes Advocacy, providing Business support services, Access to finance, initiate programs and projects that addresses the key needs for start-Ups businesses or enterprises in the Gambia and by extension to the African sub-region, thus leveraging on existing opportunities under the Africa Continental Free Trade agreement, which has a free market of 1.6 billion.
Amongst our aims and objectives is to work closely with Government ministries, agencies and development partners to promote trade and industry, collaborate with other private sector players in addressing issues affecting business, trade facilitation and entrepreneurship, participate in policy and legislation decision that are of interest to start ups members (micro and small size enterprises with 0 to 4 employees), Mobilizes resources to support the ideas, innovations, growth and Accelerations efforts of our members, build the capacities of members and non-members to develop new products and grow their businesses, organize event, fora and expositions that expose our companies and enterprises experiences, Provide special focus programs that targets rural start-ups enterprises especially those with Agricultural value chain, rice and other cereals and as well poultry and livestock production and most importantly promote made in Gambia production and innovation for local and international markets

GSCC has so far got 206 registered businesses across the country in diverse sectors of our economic. It has its Board of directors and 7 staff working in its office secretariat located in Banjul, the Gambia. its currently working with 3 international agencies and partners and 10 local organizations and Ministry of trade and ministry of Agriculture in Gambia
