Glomani Bravo-Lopez

Glomani Bravo-López is a Program Manager for Talent and Workforce Development (EWD) with LIFT in Puerto Rico. In this role, he leads initiatives aimed at advancing talent and workforce development in the field of advanced manufacturing, and particularly as it relates to defense. LIFT (Lightweight Innovations For Tomorrow) is the new name for ALMMII (American Lightweight Materials Manufacturing Innovation Institute), one of 16 non-profit manufacturing innovation institutes, and operates as a public-private partnership directly under the Department of Defense. LIFT supports the warfighter by developing and innovating American advanced manufacturing talent and technology.

He is particularly focused on programs like Operation Next, which provides training in welding and advanced manufacturing skills to veterans and civilians, helping them secure employment and serve defense needs in Puerto Rico. Additionally, Glomani oversees the IGNITE program, which is dedicated to sparking interest and developing skills in the manufacturing sector among the next generation of workers. As part of talent development efforts in Puerto Rico, Glomani is seeking to support LIFT's efforts to build out a strong entrepreneurial and startup talent ecosystem in advanced manufacturing and defense tech, and is at the forefront of such efforts on the island.

Glomani is a Marine Corps infantry combat veteran with two deployments to Iraq with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Lima Company. His extensive military experience has instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and dedication, which he brings to his current role. Beyond his work in advanced manufacturing, Glomani is an accomplished entrepreneur and has an extensive background in politics and public/government relations. He has served as Policy and Political Director for a New York City Mayoral and Comptroller campaign, Deputy Chief of Staff for New York City Council Member Stephen Levin for nearly a decade, and Senior Advisor for Strategic Operations to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez.

Glomani is also a dedicated volunteer leader, actively participating in disaster response work with Team Rubicon. His multifaceted experience and commitment to service make him a pivotal figure in advancing workforce development and supporting the manufacturing industry's growth in Puerto Rico.
