My name is Cephas Quartey. I am a Ghanaian entrepreneur, founder, and builder on a mission to become a global leader and icon — not just for myself, but for every young person in Africa who has ever been told that their circumstances define their ceiling.
My entrepreneurial journey began in 2025 — not from a place of comfort or privilege, but from a deeply personal turning point that forced me to confront one question: what am I actually building with my life? The answer was clear. I had to make it. Not someday. Now.
I am the Founder and CEO of Sustaina Group, a holding company for a portfolio of purposeful businesses built to solve real African problems at global scale. Sustaina, our first company, is Ghana's sustainable grocery delivery service — connecting local farmers directly to urban consumers in Accra through technology. We source fresh, organic produce daily from local farms, sort at a market hub, and deliver same-day at market prices. We are not importing a Western grocery model into Africa. We are building around how Ghanaians already live — through local markets, WhatsApp, and Mobile Money — and making that experience faster, fresher, and more sustainable.
But Sustaina is just the beginning. The bigger vision is a conglomerate — a globally recognised group of businesses that proves African entrepreneurship can compete and win on the world stage. I am building for the next generation, not the next quarter.
Before founding Sustaina Group, I built my professional foundation across customer service, sales, and administration. I worked as a Customer Service Advisor at Concentrix, where I managed the DHL logistics account — handling shipment tracking, delivery escalations, and customer complaints across multiple regions. I also worked as a Sales Executive at Impact Life Insurance, where I acquired new clients, met sales targets consistently, and developed the communication and relationship skills that now drive how I build my business.
My education has been both formal and self-directed. I am a graduate of Nungua Senior High School in Ghana, and I have invested deeply in professional development — completing the ALX Ventures Founder Academy, powered by the Mastercard Foundation, in November 2025, and the ALX AI Career Essentials programme in July 2024. I was also nominated for the pitch opportunity at the Global Entrepreneurship Festival 2025, one of Africa's leading entrepreneurship events, where I also served as a volunteer coordinator.
Beyond business, I am a faith-driven leader. I serve as a Deacon at Menfishers Ministry, and my Christian faith is not separate from my entrepreneurial identity — it is the foundation of it. I believe I am called to be an ambassador of Jesus Christ and heaven in everything I do, including in how I build companies, treat people, and pursue excellence. Every venture I launch, every team I build, every problem I solve is an expression of that calling.
I have also served in community and student leadership throughout my life — as Public Relations Officer at Nungua Senior High School, Social Committee Chairman at GARSRC, and Zonal Secretary Nominee — roles that shaped my ability to communicate, lead, and mobilise people around a shared vision.
I am currently applying to global programmes and residencies to accelerate my growth, expand my network, and bring world-class thinking back to Ghana and Africa. I am not leaving to escape — I am going to return with more. More knowledge, more connections, more fire.
