IDEA4 Africa

Idea4africa is a non-profit organisation with the aim of increasing economic growth in communities it operates in. IDEA4AFRICA has been inspiring and equipping young entrepreneurs in Rwanda to develop social and economic values in their communities and the world. Idea4Africa has direct connections with thousands of young entrepreneurs, works with different local and international partners to organise different entrepreneurial programs and events. Built on strong belief of inspiring and equipping youth entrepreneurs with skills, Idea4Africa organises an annual national entrepreneurship seminar for high school students. It is during this transformational workshop high school students from across the country are introduced on an entrepreneurial mindset and provided hands on training in entrepreneurship based on our Act –Learn –Build model. Participants of the training develop creative capacity and entrepreneurial confidence while learning effective tools to start their new ventures. Since the Ministry of education of the republic of Rwanda took the measure of introducing entrepreneurship education into the high school curriculum, idea4Africa has been working with educators at all level to develop best practices for delivering entrepreneurship education. Idea4Africa has been equipping high school students and teachers with models of teaching because Idea4Africa believes the best way of disseminating most of practical entrepreneurial skills is through educators themselves as they reach more students. Also, Idea4Africa has been an area of focus for high impact entrepreneurs since its establishment. Through various channels,+ idea4Africa connects with many entrepreneurs most of whom have relied on our guidance and directions as they develop their business ideas and businesses. Identifying promising young entrepreneurs in Rwanda and equipping them with trainings and other entrepreneurial support such as one-on-one mentoring, encouragement and support for project development and business planning have been highly recognised by our receipts. Since 2015 idea4Africa has been the national host the Global entrepreneurship Week. During one week celebrations idea4Africa organises different events and workshops. Different workshops range from those which inspire youth to start new businesses to networking receptions that connect entrepreneurs to potential collaborators. During the global entrepreneurship week idea4Africa has the unprecedented opportunity to work with the Rwandan government and private sector. Since the GEW started in Rwanda numbers of participants have been accumulating from thousands to many thousands and more partners. Being the world’s largest celebration of innovators and job creators the global entrepreneurship week has been brought in Rwanda by idea4Africa to increase the focus of entrepreneurship across the country, raising awareness and challenges that exist and fostering discussions to solve those challenges. It’s also, during the global entrepreneurship week where our like - minded partners are given platforms to provide different skills and opportunities to youth entrepreneurs.
