Gloria Bell

Gloria Bell is a passionate advocate for equity and equality in technology and beyond, bringing over 40 years of proven expertise in business operations, communications, event management, and entrepreneurship to every role she takes on. She is the Director of Operations at Zip Code Wilmington, where she supports the organization’s mission of creating life-changing economic opportunity through intensive, high-impact career training. Gloria is also the Founder of the Women in Tech Summit (WITS) and the Inspiring Tech Foundation, and currently serves as Board President for Startup Leaders, an organization supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and startup founders.

For nearly two decades, Gloria has been at the forefront of efforts to provide education, inspiration, and meaningful connections for underserved groups in tech, startup communities, and economic development initiatives. Her work empowers women, non-binary individuals, and underrepresented entrepreneurs to thrive in the innovation economy.

Gloria’s career includes leadership roles at TechGirlz as Events and Marketing Manager, and running her own consultancy, Bell Digital Strategies, where she advised businesses and nonprofits on digital strategy, social media, and brand engagement. She’s also an experienced educator, having served as a guest lecturer and Adjunct Professor of Social Media Strategy at Drexel University.

A serial entrepreneur at heart, Gloria founded Red Stapler Consulting, where she worked with businesses and technology startups to optimize operations, strengthen systems, and develop actionable social media and audience-engagement strategies. She is a frequent speaker on topics related to women in technology, diversity in the tech workforce, and community building within innovation ecosystems.

Her deep commitment to entrepreneurial, technology, and social innovation communities includes volunteer leadership roles with organizations such as Social Media Club Philadelphia, Philly Startup Leaders, Seed Philly, GirlDevelopIt, Lean Startup Machine, Startup Weekend, PodCamp Philly, and PodCamp East.

When she’s not leading initiatives to build a more inclusive tech community, Gloria enjoys mentoring young entrepreneurs, reading, gardening, baking, and delighting in her newest role as a doting grandmother.
