MOTIVATIONAL LETTRER For the past ten (10) years I willingly quit my job and dedicate my life to contribute to the growth and development of youth and women in the Gambia considering the youth unemployment in the Gambia which is on the rise previously the percentage was 36% and currently its 41.5%. As leading Co-founder and President of the Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce (GYCC), is the Umbrella body and Voice of youth Entrepreneurs in The Gambia. Committed to advocate for the creation of the enabling environment that facilitates an organized, vibrant, robust, functional, sustainable youth sector Business administration. It’s a youth-led micro enterprise sub sector that is positioned to support youth in Business to connect to the outside world through web links and mobile distributor as a social entrepreneur running his own business a poultry farmer, a certify trainer on entrepreneurship and enterprise development. The purpose of the Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce (GYCC) is to provide good will services to its members and promote youth business enterprises to unlock potentials of young business to face the Gambia. To support youth businesses get national and international recognition and work with government to address the needs and concerns challenging our young people in business. Being the lead entrepreneur we are working to establish Impact Hub Banjul, Impact Hub Network is a catalyst for social change, and we want to bring impact hub to Banjul because we believe in the power of entrepreneurship its one the few things that can change the world in fundamental ways. The hub is a co-working space that promotes synergy, commonality, multiplicity and globalization creating employment and employability to achieve impact at scale it’s necessary to inspire, connect and engage a critical mass of people by providing effective entrepreneurial support. There are ample opportunities to create and implement solutions to the world's most pressing issues, matching these opportunities with programs to achieve tangible progress towards these challenges. Impact cannot happen in isolation it requires collective action, what if we focus on collaboration instead of competition growing a supportive ecosystem to unlock potentials and make our ideas happen creating a community to inspire connect, collaborate and support each other accelerate growth and boost impact. We Team Banjul seek to drive positive economic, social and environmental impact through acceleration and incubation programs to promote and enhance creativity, endless possibilities of collaboration, innovation and entrepreneurship across The Gambia we want to reach-out to a global network. Served as the coordinator of the business incubation hub volunteering for six(6) years to support and nurture youth entrepreneur and startups enterprises, assist youth and young enterprises in developing bankable business plans and effectively utilize the available opportunities online and offline. Provide requisite mentoring and coaching services to youth entrepreneurs to improve their business performance, in the same vain contribute in scaling up the effective youth involvement and participation in the agricultural value chain to create employment and employability and food security. Furthermore enhance and promote the awareness on the existing opportunities or the youth potentials in The Gambia to address the youth irregular migration, as the coordinator of the youth business incubation hub, our hub serve as a platform for networking and peer learning among aspiring and young entrepreneurs Im the Founder of the Junior Chamber International JCI Gambia, Junior Chamber International JCI was establish in 1915 in USA currently its one hundred and four years old (107) new in The Gambia five (5) years. JCI is a worldwide community of nearly 200 000 + young active citizens around the globe and currently in 170 countries aged 18-40 working together through shared values to create positive change. Through activities ranging from local development to international initiatives, JCI members improve their communities these activities empower young people to demonstrate their social responsibility and improve themselves through participation, leadership and action. JCI will offer the young people corporation an opportunity to broaden their knowledge through active participation, community involvement and a heightened sense of responsibility. JCI will provide valuable practical learning experiences, in leading and executing projects committed to create impact in their community’s member take initiatives to solve local challenges. Not just focused on charity or service, we focus on sustainable impact local and global. Currently im being select as a global peace ambassador by Global Peace Chain. Im a radio presenter hosting the youth entrepreneurship radio talk show at West Coast Radio informs, educates, enlightens, and enrich the young entrepreneurs while helping the public in trade and trade related matters. Encouraging cooperation, interaction, communication and understanding with the ecosystem maximizing diversity amongst entrepreneur through the radio program increase awareness with the ecosystem, encourage and inspire the would be and start up entrepreneurs. Currently the founding curator, Curator Banjul Hub Global Shapers Community is a network of Hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements, and their drive to make a contribution to their communities. The Global Shapers Community is an initiative of the World Economic Forum. The Banjul Hub focuses on creating employment and employability home to innovators, dreamers and entrepreneurs who are creating tangible solutions to the world’s most pressing issues. I’m a board member of the Youth Against Irregular Migration (YAIM) an organization created by returnees of the Italy and Libya quarterly (every three months) conducting awareness and sensitization tours on irregular migration in all the seven regions of The Gambia.
