I started my entrepreneurial journey when I left school at the age of 16 after being told I was stupid, as it turns out it was the opposite I was just dyslexic, i started to for work one of the nations best-known chefs for was doing some food consulting it ignited the fire inside as I always wanted to open my own business, which I did at 23 and sold it by my 26th birthday,. not knowing what to do, I joined forces with my best friends as we set up a consumer food insights and creative agency, where i retrained as a planner. After six years I was offered a job so i sold out and spent the next 10 years in 3 global ad agencies 7 of them at board level in the Middle East. I returned to the UK in 2010 and set up my own innovation and venture agency and in 2020 I helped my brothers in Australia reengineer our hospitality business at the start of COVID-19 and this led me to where I am today as I knew then there had to be a better way to do business. I left Australia and set up Britain Loves Baking my covid response which had a purpose and as i grew I formed the group I now oversee. As the founder of Tastes Good Does Good Group, I'm driven by a deep-seated belief that business can be a force for good. My mission is to help create a hunger-free world, and I'm committed to using our platform to make a tangible difference. We donate 15% of our revenue to food charities and invest in new innovative food businesses which we build and then gift to talented food entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, empowering them to build successful businesses and contribute to our shared goal. We have six operational businesses and have gifted 3 of them with revenues of £750K and 3 more in 2025, then we will build another 20, then 50 then 100 creating a billion of revenue, giving £!50m to support or purpose.
Over the past 30 years, I've launched and scaled eight successful food brands and launched over 50 food and hospitality products, services, and experiences, creating over half a billion pounds of value. But my greatest achievement is building a business that delivers exceptional food and makes a positive impact on the world. I'm passionate about sharing my expertise and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs. As a co-professor at the University of North Carolina, I teach and mentor aspiring business leaders, equipping them with the skills and confidence they need to succeed and started to write my 3rd cookery book. Some say no one just gives businesses away for nothing unless stupid, my response is always the same, i am dyslexic, not stupid.
