Haider K. M.

Dr. Haider K. M. is an entrepreneur and physician working at the intersection of energy, maritime services, and industrial operations in the Middle East. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Compass Maritime & Energy Ltd., a company focused on providing technical maritime services, vessel support, inspection, and safety compliance solutions for the offshore and port industries in Iraq.

In parallel, he leads the development of TAE Petroleum Services, an oilfield services company delivering training, lifting equipment inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT), HSE auditing, and technical support for energy sector operations. Through these ventures, Dr. Haider is contributing to the modernization of technical service capabilities in Iraq’s oil, gas, and maritime sectors.

Dr. Haider previously worked in remote and offshore medical environments supporting oilfield operations, which allowed him to build a deep understanding of industrial safety, operational risk, and the practical needs of field operations. This multidisciplinary experience later shaped his entrepreneurial vision to establish companies that bridge engineering, safety, and operational reliability in critical infrastructure sectors.

His current focus includes developing internationally accredited technical services in Iraq, building partnerships with global equipment manufacturers and classification societies, and expanding regional capabilities in maritime technical services, vessel safety systems, inspection services, and industrial training.

Through his work, Dr. Haider aims to position Iraqi technical service providers within global industry standards while contributing to the development of a stronger regional entrepreneurship ecosystem.
