Harold Davis

Harold Davis is a trained Industrial Engineer with over twenty-five (25) years’ experience in Industrial development and Leadership in the public and private sectors. With an MSc in Innovation, Leadership and Management from the University of York, UK, his areas of specialization include Entrepreneurship, Creative Industries, Innovation Management, Development Finance and Micro, Small and Medium-sized Entities (MSME) development strategies. Mr. Davis has also benefitted from post graduate professional studies in various strategic industrial development fields in Japan, China, Slovenia and the USA.

A proud graduate of Excelsior High School; Mr. Davis, a Creative and Design Thinker is the Co-founder and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) and has served in this capacity since 2001. JBDC is the leading business development and entrepreneurship support organization in the Caribbean region serving 4000+ MSMEs annually. The organization has successfully developed a network of 15 SBDCs in Jamaica in partnership with all the major Universities on the island.

Prior to joining the JBDC Mr. Davis served in the capacity of Technical Services Director of the Productivity Centre at Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and also as Industrial Engineer at Export Import Bank of Jamaica (EXIM Bank).

Mr. Davis serves on several public and private sector boards locally and throughout the Caribbean regional.

Harold Davis is also a Musician, singer, song writer and recording artiste with two studio albums released. He has done extensive work with Creative Industries policy development and has a distinct passion and expertise in this area
