I work with a wonderful business and technical team at Penn State that helps more than 800 businesses across Pennsylvania to create jobs, increase revenues, and improve operations. While those businesses are accelerated, we help to improve the education of more than 5,000 Penn State students annually through engaged scholarship and service learning opportunities. With help from federal, state, and private sponsors, we provide these services for free or for a low cost to our clients. Since we are based at Penn State, we have a broad reach - engaging 10,000 business and community leaders annually - and leverage worldclass research for innovative solutions. One of the initiatives that I began at Penn State was establishing Global Entrepreneurship Week in 2009 with one event and 50 participants. Fast forward to 2015: we now have a multidisciplinary event at 10 locations with 124 events (14 of which are streamed worldwide) and more than 5,000 attendees.
