Hilal Gercek

Hilal served as the Acting Managing Director for GEN Turkey from October 2020 to March 2022. She studied Physics at Middle East Technical University in Turkey. During her university years, she discovered that her real passion is to create a sustainable social impact for the society and taking initiative for that purpose. Hilal previously worked for Vodafone Turkey Foundation, BinYaprak, AFS, ITU Science park and METU Science park on various projects for women, children and people with disabilities including technology based entrepreneurship and incubation centers. She is an advocate in social entrepreneurship and volunteered for IEEE, SOGLA, TurkishWIN and Social Investment Platform. She also served as the Vice Chairman of JCI Kadikoy. Hilal is the Assistant Secretary General for Habitat Association, the Host organization of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Habitat is a non-governmental organization that works in the field of sustainable development since 1997.
