IYA HAMADAMA SAIDOU

Born in 1992 in Kaladi, in the Adamaoua region of Cameroon, I attended the primary public school at Kalaldi j in 2003 before joining the classical and modern high school in Meiganga. In 2010 I get the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Life and Earth Sciences. Then I joined the former Higher Institute of the Sahel (currently Maroua National Polytechnic College) at Maroua University, and then obtained a 3-year degree in environmental engineering.

In 2015, I became an HSE manager for a company in the MOUAWIYA SARL area, and then promoter and Managing Director of EMERGENCE SARL, specializing in water and sanitation, from 2018 to 2022. The impacts of the global CORONA VIRUS pandemic forced me to close. Currently, I am promoting and managing a new company called IHS NATURAL RESOURCES SARL, which values forest natural resources as well as mineral water production, the exploitation and marketing of gravel and sands, along with other various services.

I am the 2019 winner of the entrepreneurship program of the TONY ELUMELU Foundation, and then participate in the CLIMATE CHANCE AFRICA Summit in Ghana that same year. At the national level, I am a winner of the President's Program to Support Youth Entrepreneurship in Cameroon and 2020, as well as the winner of the Business Plan Competition for the Adaptive Social Networks and Economic Inclusion project funded by the World Bank in 2025.
