Danish Hussain

I am a seasoned development professional with over 20 years of extensive experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), research, proposal and grants writing, and program implementation across diverse sectors including education, health, disaster response, climate change, infrastructure, and social development.

My academic background includes a Master’s in Sociology, a Master’s in Economics, a BBA in Management, and additional qualifications in Supply Chain Management. I have worked with a wide range of national and international organizations, including the World Bank, ADB, UN agencies, WHO, FAO, UNDP, UNICEF, and multiple government departments across Pakistan.

As Manager Program Development at Management & Development Center (MDC) since 2011, I led the design and development of research proposals, tenders, and evaluations. My work was instrumental in elevating MDC from a local to a leading national consultancy. In the past year alone, I contributed to generating over PKR 1 Billion in business. Currently, I serve as Head of Grants and Partnerships at JDC Foundation, where I lead strategic donor engagement, partnership building, and resource mobilization efforts.

• Grants writing, research proposal development, and budgeting
• Project design, implementation, and logical framework analysis
• Monitoring & Evaluation, baseline surveys, and third-party validations
• Donor coordination, partnership building, and resource mobilization

I possess strong skills in drafting, communication, advocacy, and strategic planning. With hands-on experience in disaster-prone and remote areas, and a deep understanding of local cultures and communities, I bring practical insight and adaptability to field-based programming. I am also proficient in utilizing e-tendering platforms such as UNDP Quantum, UNGM, ADB CMS, World Bank Consultant Portal, and provincial e-bidding systems.

In addition, I have developed proposals for a wide range of engineering and infrastructure projects, including construction supervision, agriculture, irrigation, and small dams, with a solid grasp of industry standards and project management frameworks.
